I have always handled things my way. Is going to therapy the right thing?

We are the best resource to ourselves and it is a good sign to be able to handle things in our lives. However, everyone needs help from time to time. You know that you can count on your strengths, but, for whatever reason, they aren’t working right now. Does this problem feel different and overwhelming? Does it make it difficult to cope or understand what is happening? Therapy is a good place to start to continue handling things in new ways this time. 

How long will the process take?

 There is no simple answer for this question. Each case is different and the length of treatment is based on their uniqueness. The sessions take 50-55 minutes per week. Typically, treatment may extend around 12-18 sessions. 

Will my health insurance cover therapy?

I am working with insurance panels and sessions are covered. Make sure to request a consultation to verify eligibility or check on our list of insurances. Moreover, we have the options of out-of-pockets payments or sliding scales. 

Is there an attendance policy?

Yes. We expect a 24-hour notice for a cancellation from client and therapist, and after two consecutive no-shows to a confirmed session, we will review the continuity of the case. We believe that the consistency in attendance is key for a sucessfull treatment.

Are there openings for the support and skill-building groups?

The groups for pre-teens, teens and young adults are based on availability. Contact us to find out more information.
